TRAVELLER ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

It's coming! It's almost here! And you gotta be there!
We are very happy to announce that it's time for the official TRAVELLER album release party for the Danny Vaughn Band! Grab a pen, cut and paste, whatever it takes, but take this down!
Saturday, February 10 at THE RIG: ROCK CITY in NOTTINGHAM, UK
This is a very special party that we are having for ourselves and our fans. Where a lot of bands would put on the cd, sit back and get drunk, we're gonna play the album live!
Oh yeah, we'll get drunk too, but that's later.

Doors will open at 7:30 and we suggest you get there early. We will start promptly at 8pm. We're going to be playing a short, 45 minute set of about 8 songs from the new cd with a couple of your old faves thrown in for good measure. But that's not even the best part.
We will have a VERY LIMITED supply of the new TRAVELLER cd for sale on the night and that is one week before you can get it in the stores or on line.
We will have ONLY 100 copies for sale. Another reason to get there early. For the price of 12 pounds sterling, you will get the new cd as well as a very special event card from the band to mark the occasion and let everybody know you were there! The band will be in the club directly afterwards to relax (do some of that drinking that I mentioned) and hang out, and sign anything you might have on hand. Hmmmm.. okay, almost anything.

The door charge for the event is 6 pounds in advance. I'm not sure what it will be on the day, that is a charge that the club puts on, not us, so it is really recommended that you buy tickets in advance. But, for that price you will also be able to hang out in the Rig all night for their big Saturday night rock party. Seems pretty fair to me! Tickets can be purchased at these on line outlets:
www.rock-city.co.uk
see tickets / way ahead
Piccadilly
let legged pineapple

We are all really excited and hope to see you there!
All the best,
Danny, Tony, Lee, Pat, Steve

Jumping The Gun?

It has been said that you can't argue with progress. I think the same may be true of enthusiastic record labels. Not that I'm complaining, but I was pretty surprised when I logged onto Melodicrock.com today and saw myself looking back at me! If you weren't aware, Frontiers Records have made the major announcement about our new cd release and included snippets (I love that word, makes me feel like a moyle) of 4 of the new songs. I had intended to wait until closer to Christmas to do that, but, "if you can't beat 'em..."

Badlands Rain          Miracle Days          Restless Blood           Traveller

So, here, and also soon on our website, www.dannyvaughn.com, we've got a new band, a new look, and new song teasers for ya! We hope you enjoy them. Keep those messages and comments coming! We'll also be looking to do a signing party/record release on the weekend of Feb. the 16th at a club in the UK (to be announced) where you can be the first to get your hot little hands on Traveller and get it signed on the spot. More on that idea when it happens.

Thanks to everybody for so much support and good wishes. If we don't talk before then, have a wonderful Christmas holiday!

Best wishes,
Danny, Tony, Steve, Pat, and Lee

The best kind of news

This is a really special announcement going out to all of our friends from the Tyketto days.
I'm so happy to tell you that Michael Clayton Arbeeny and his wife, Isabel, were blessed with a bouncing, baby boy recently!

On Tuesday, November 14th, at 3:16 pm (who looks at their watches at a time like that?) Ryan Michael Arbeeny was ushered into this world (no doubt to the sounds of trumpets and drum corps!) in New Jersey. He weighs in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces and is 20 inches long from tip to toe.
The whole family are doing great and attached is a picture of the young man with his seriously proud Dad. Everybody that knows Michael can guess just how happy he is. We all send our love and huge cheers to the whole family.

Patience Rewarded

Hi everyone. It's official! We have the release date for our new album, "TRAVELLER" set for February the 16th, 2007. We were very happy to hear the positive reactions from those of you that heard some of the new songs at UFOR2 and FIREFEST.

I really think that this is my best recording yet.

The saintly Chris Galler is going to be revamping our web site in time for the release with lots of new photos, info, and formal introductions to the blokes in the band.
It's time to put the past behind us and head into the future like a horde of Norse invaders cutting through the ice in one of those, well, Viking boat thingies. (apologies to all of my Nordic friends).
I will be putting some snippets from the cd onto the web site and onto the myspace site around about Christmas time, because you've all been so very good this year.
Keep your eyes on this site, as there will be lots more to come.

Thanks for all of your patience and your support for our latest effort.
It means a lot to all of us.

Cheers,
Danny Vaughn

Just a quick note this time from the whole band to thank everyone involved in the UFOR2 show at the Rockfabrik in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The show was sold out, the bands all played well, and the crowd was fantastic.

We had a listening party for press only (sorry about that) in the early part of the day and it was the first time for the whole band to hear our new album, (5 songs of it, anyway) "Traveller", now finished and mastered, blasting out of a nice p.a. system upstairs in the Rockfabrik. There were 30 or 40 journalists there (and I felt a little like a goldfish in a bowl) and the response that I got from them was very positive. More than one person said to me, "the Tyketto fans are going to love this". I cerainly hope that's true, and I hope we'll discover lots of new fans with this one as well. The band felt great and put on a strong show in what was a very hot club. We couldn't have been happier with the audience. Thanks to everyone that sang, clapped, and banged your heads. And thanks to everyone that came to the signing session for autographs, photos, and to say "hello".

The only down side for me (if you can call it that) was that I was kept so busy that I didn't get to see many of the bands. However, I was rocked by both Gary John Barden ( a real pro and a gentleman), and the Pretty Maids. Excellent sets from both those bands.

The new album will be released in February and we are looking to get out there and play as much as possible in Europe and the U.K. in the early spring. Keep the faith until then and from Tony, Lee, Steve, Pat, and myself, to all of the friends, fans, journalists and record company people that made the whole trip a blast....

Danke Schoen
Danny Vaughn

The Latest Roundup

Hi Everyone,
You might think the silence on my end of things would indicate a lull in the action for me but really, it means I've been very busy but damned lazy about writing. So, for all of you that have written in asking "what's the latest?" prepare to regret the question.
Okay, let's start with the new album. It is currently in the very capable hands of Dennis Ward from Pink Cream 69, who is going to finish the whole process off with his mastering skills. The hardest thing about the album for us is that we are all very excited about it and now we have to wait until Feb. or March of 2007 to release it. Simply put, Frontiers Records has a very busy schedule and they wanted to wait for a time when they could devote plenty of attention to us. So I'm all in favor of that. We are also talking about putting together a very cool package tour with 2 other bands you are definitely going to want to see for the UK and Europe in the spring. Fingers crossed it all goes ahead.
For those that might not have heard, the new album is called TRAVELLER and I've got a complete song list for you:
1. MIRACLE DAYS
2. BADLANDS RAIN
3. TRAVELLER
4. RESTLESS BLOOD
5. THAT'S WHAT SHE SAYS
6. THE TOUCH OF YOUR HAND
7. LIFTED
8. THE WARRIOR'S WAY
9. THE MEASURE OF A MAN
10. THINK OF ME IN THE FALL
11. DEATH OF THE TIGER
12. BETTER BY FAR

And our version of the song, SPEAKING IN TONGUES will be the bonus track on the Japanese version. When it gets around Christmas time, I'm going to post some snippets of a couple of the songs here on the site just to keep you interested. I've also just done the first interview about the new cd and you can find it at:
http://www.rockunited.com

In the meantime, the band are all gearing up for the UFOR2 festival on October 1st at the Rockfabrik in Luwigsburg, Germany. And this is the only place you're going to be able to hear a couple of these new songs and probably the only gig for the Danny Vaughn band for the rest of this year. But, never fear, it's been a long time since I have played in Germany, so there will be plenty of Tyketto, Vaughn, and From The Inside songs to make everybody happy!

On the recording front, I recently was able to work with an old friend, producer Richie Zito, on the title track of his forthcoming solo cd on Frontiers Records, AVALON: THE RICHIE ZITO PROJECT. It's the first time I've worked with the man since Don't Come Easy, and it was a pure pleasure to write with him.

Here's the official blurb taken from the Frontiers web site.
In the late '70s, Richie Zito was one of the most sought-after session guitarists in Los Angeles. He lent his chops to Art Garfunkel, Barbara Streisand, The Beach Boys, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Kenny Rogers and Lionel Richie to name a few. At the start of the '80s, Zito hooked up with Elton John, and became a member of his band. Soon after, in addition to playing guitar on the Soundtracks for FLASHDANCE, TOP GUN, SCARFACE and BEVERLY HILLS COP, he began producing and writing for the Motels, and boasts an exhaustive resumé including the Cult, White Lion, Open Skyz, Mr. Big, Tyketto, Joe Cocker’s "You Can Leave Your Hat On", Eddie Money’s (Grammy Nominated) duet with Ronnie Spector, "Take Me Home Tonight", Heart’s Triple Platinum "Brigade" CD and Bad English’s #1 Record "When I See You Smile". Zito's panoramic and cosmic production on Cheap Trick's "Lap of Luxury" brought another dimension to rock records. "Lap of Luxury" also shot the band back into the public consciousness and delivered Trick's only number one, "The Flame." Zito's technical skill and superb musicianship is unquestionable. Like his guru Giorgio Moroder, Zito has brought out the best in some of the biggest names in the music biz. As a Record Producer, Zito has had 38 singles in Billboard’s Hot 100 and in 1990 was the Magazine’s "Top Singles Producer of the Year". AVALON is "his" project where he gathered all the artists he had the pleasure to work with during the years, to deliver a classic AOR release and his ultimate dream album. In Zito’s words "When Serafino Perugino, Frontiers Records President, approached me to make a CD, I saw it as an opportunity to Collaborate with some of the best Singers I know….The result is… AVALON". "AVALON - THE RICHIE ZITO PROJECT represents Re-Connection" continues Richie, "Re-Connection with Guitar Playing, Songwriting, Producing, Melodic Rock and with some very talented Friends…" Featured on the album are Eddie Money, legendary producer Giorgio Moroder, Joe Lynn Turner, Eric Martin, Richie Kotzen, Joey Carbone, Hugo, Danny Vaughn, Philip Bardowell and Joseph Williams.

Something else that I did a short while ago has recently seen the light of day on the new Melodicrock.com cd V3. It was a writing project that I worked on with a very talented player from Canada named Michael Tharin. We wrote a couple of things together and Andrew McNeice heard it (how does he find out about this stuff?) and really liked it. The song is called RELEASED and it is a really good piece of melodic rock, if I do say so myself.

Last but not least, I co wrote a song with Spanish guitar shredder Jorge Salan entitled CHASE THE FIRE that will make an appearance on his solo album. I'll keep you posted when I know the release date of that.

I think that's as brief as I could have kept it. I hope everyone had a great summer and I'm really appreciative that so many of you have been writing in and keeping in touch. More bulletins when they happen!

Take care of yourselves,
Danny Vaughn

THE "FROM THE STUDIO" BLOG
This has been long overdue. You know what it's like. You have something you have to do. It's sitting there staring at you. You walk by it a hundred times a day. But you keep finding reasons to say, "not right this minute". I've been doing that with this blog for weeks. And, of course, each day, more has happened, making me think that it will get longer and longer so I keep ducking it.
I must admit that I got fully taken up in World Cup fever during all of this. I was very sorry to see England drop out yesterday. I don't have a favourite team or anything, but I do hold a soft spot for the country that has always given me a musical home over the years. So several of us were in the local pub with a few pints in us during the agonizingly long game. It was sad to see so many people that down hearted afterwards.
I do have one word of advice for the FIFA people. Perhaps it should consider a new rule that the officiating staff of any match should never be provided by a country that has recently waged war with one of the teams on the pitch! But hey, that's just one, uninformed American's opinion.

Okay, so it's on to the music!
After two weeks of solid pre-production rehearsals at the end of May, we got into Jelly Jam studios in Runcorn, UK on June 3rd and began setting up. We had made up our minds previously to be ambitious and go for a much longer album than I have done in the recent past and came armed with 13 new songs and not really enough time to do them in.
But ignorance is bliss (and sometimes your best weapon) so we soldiered on. With one exception (a change that I decided to make later on) Lee thundered through all of the songs in 2 (count 'em), 2 full days of recording. Lesson to all musicians that might be interested, NOTHING takes the place of hard work and preparation. **ahem** sorry.
I'm much too willing to lecture sometimes.
Anyway, the band followed suit and in a total of 18 days (with a couple of days off in the middle for good behaviour) ALL instruments and vocals had been completed. Everybody did whatever they had to in order to put some of their own heart and soul into the songs, with Pat coming up from Brighton on weekends to do his solos, Tony doing his best to cover all sorts of loose ends that popped up in between his guitar tracks, and Steve coming in at evening time to do the bass tracks after 10 long hours at his job. The amazing thing of it is, now that I am in the mixing phase of all of it, you would never guess that this wasn't a recording that took quite a bit longer to put together.
Quite a lot of it is very lush and full sounding, with two guitarists, lots of vocals and our good friend, Johnny Larsen, providing some excellent keyboards and piano of 5 songs.

In fact, the whole approach taken to the making of this album was a very different one for me. After all, I was working with all new guys in the studio, and a two guitar player band, which I never have done before, so why not adopt a new approach? It was, as Led Zeppelin used to say, "loosely tight". Much of it was well thought out ahead of time and yet, quite a bit of it was decided when we got there. You can do that when the calibre of musicians is a high one because they adapt well.
A couple of the songs were only just presented to the band a week before rehearsals started and they are turning into my favorite tracks.
The most important thing for me is that I am getting a real charge out of listening to the songs. This is going to be an album that I will very much enjoy listening to when it's all over.

The album will be called "TRAVELLER" (and that has nothing to do with caravans) and is planned to be released in October right after we play the UFOR2 festival in Germany. In the near future I will post song titles and maybe even a running order once we all agree on one.
Also, I need to thank everyone that wrote in with your opinions about the name change. Over all, with few exceptions, every one seemed fine with the idea of calling the band "Danny Vaughn" instead of plain old "Vaughn" from now on. Which means, new art work, new logos, new band photos, and a really stunning cd cover in the works. When we get closer to release date, I'm going to put a few snippets of a couple of songs on the web site to whet your appetites. I would love to let you all hear it now, I'm so excited about it, but that would spoil the surprise, wouldn't it? And I do think a lot of you are going to be very pleasantly surprised!

Thanks to everyone that has written in to encourage us while we are doing this. It has really helped a lot. It may not sound like it, but 10 hours a day for 30 days in a recording studio can make you a little brain dead sometimes and a note from a friend in the midst of all of that can go a long way.

I hope you are all having a great summer and we all look forward to seeing you on tour again very soon.

All the best,
Danny Vaughn

Hello All,
A quick update from the English Midlands as we have been locked away for some lo-o-o-ong writing and arranging sessions for the past week or more and have one more week to go before the recording starts on June 3rd. Until you are working away with a full band, you don't have an album, simply a collection of songs. Once the guys all start putting their personalities into the playing is when the songs begin to have some cohesion and take on an independant life of their own. I'm happy to say that is what's happening now. Tony, Pat, Lee, and Steve have all dived in head first and brought a whole new life to the songs I have been writing over the past year. What does it sound like with the band that I have toured with for the past year or two? Well, I'm going to make the cardinal sin that ALL bands do when asked about their new albums and say "uuhhhh.. well,,,,it's Heavier!" Yikes, that sounds lame, I know! However, this is the first time that I have ever recorded with a two guitar attack and that, by itself, is going to change the songs a great deal. It still sounds like me, but.....ummmmm... heavier. :-)

I'm loving how this is coming out and I hope you all will too. Sometime in the late summer I will post some snippets on this site to tease you with.

Another thing that has been discussed is the name of the band. Since there has been a constantly rotating memebership, due to the infrequencies of our recordings and tours, the idea was proposed to release the new cd under the name Danny Vaughn instead of just Vaughn. Also, over the past 5 years I keep finding that if someone doesn't know you and asks the band name and I say "Vaughn" I am inevitably asked to repeat it several times. For some reason it's a difficult name to get. But, it's not a move that is being considered out of ego on my part. So I'm putting it out to you guys to look for your opinions on the matter. Some think that if I go under my full name people will think it's an acoustic album. So let me dispell that notion right now. (did I mention that it's heavier? )Anyway, let me know your collective thoughts.

Now I'm going to make a rather strange request here. Bear with me. About 2 years ago I received a very heartfelt and moving letter from a family in America that had been through an incredibly difficult trauma. Without divulging any personal details, it involved them nearly losing their 4 year old son. The father had written to me, and sent a tape of a tv show that had been done about this young boy and his miraculous survival. I was stunned when he went on to say that he wanted to write a song for his son so that he could tell him, through music, how much he meant to him and his mother. Not being a musician, he then said that he felt that I was the only writer he knew that could do it properly. Wow.
Now I have to admit, with a great deal of shame, that this letter came to me during a very difficult time in my life, where my creativity was at an all time low and, try as I might, I wasn't able to come up with anything that I thought would do them justice. So, hanging my head, I let the whole thing slip away after a while.

That, however, has changed now and I have written what will be the lead off track to the new album with them in mind. It is a very powerful song, if I do say so myself, and I am hoping that they will find it suitable, BUT, (another embarassing admission here) the last time I moved, a great deal of my things went into storage and I cannot find their names and addresses. I seem to remember that they lived in the Carolinas, but I could be wrong. Anyway, if you happen to know them (since my circle of fans is relatively small and on good terms with one another) or you are them and reading this, please, would you contact me here and let me know? I would like you to be the first to hear this new song, called "Miracle Days" to see what you think.

Thanks to everybody that continues to write in and offer good wishes and support. It really is what keeps me going! I'll keep you posted as the recordings go on.

Have a great summer,
Danny Vaughn

2. I am happy to announce that we have come to a very happy arrangement with FRONTIERS RECORDS! After the very successful way that they handled the FROM THE INSIDE project, I met up with the powers that be at Frontiers in Naples, Italy last week and we are all very enthused to be working together on the
next VAUGHN album. The plan is for the band to be in the studio and recording at the end of May and for the next album to be released in Ocotober.

The band will be the same mighty, British band I have been touring with for the past year or so. TONY MARSHALL-GUITARS AND VOCALS, PAT HEATH-GUITARS, STEVE McKENNA-BASS AND VOCALS, LEE MORRIS-DRUMS AND VOCALS. Also, I am really pleased to say that keyboard wizard, PAUL HODSON will be lending his prodigious talents to the recording as well. This album is already promising to be one of the most epic I have ever attempted and we are all really excited to get going on it.

3. In keeping with the Frontiers connection, we have also agreed to take part in the UNITED FORCES OF ROCK 2 show to be held in Stuttgart, Germany in October of this year. It is my hope that we will be able to kick off a tour right from there. It will be a long overdue trip to Germany for the band and I'm hoping to line up more shows there, as well as in Holland, Belgium, Spain, Greece, and, of course, England. I'm sure there will be lots more stuff to follow, but that's how the land lies today. It looks like it's going to be a big year for us and I am really grateful that you all have been along for the ride.

Hope to be seeing you soon!

GIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Last November and December, when the Vaughn band did our little tour I got a lot of mail from our friends in Northern Ireland that were annoyed that we hadn't scheduled a show up there like we usually do. Well, this Saturday, the 25th we will be returning to the Empire in Belfast for a one off show.

The last show of the special set that we were doing last year that encompassed songs from Waysted, Tyketto, Flesh & Blood, Vaughn, From The Inside, and The Once and Future King. After this, a number of these songs will be respectfully retired again. We've always had a great turn out in Belfast so I'm just writing to remind all those concerned to come down and share a Guinness or five with us. After this one, we will be secluding ourselves in the studio to work on he next album so it'll be quiet out there for a while. Let's send it off with a bang!

See you there! Danny Vaughn

As promised, or threatened, I am making a lot more effort to keep you updated on my doings (or not-doings) this year and I wanted to let everyone know that we do have a space on myspace.com.
Some of you have had trouble finding it.
The link is: http://www.myspace.com/vaughnband

As of right now it's just free floating, but as soon as figure out how it all works, I will be taking a much more hands on approach to it. So please check it out and sign on as a friend!

See you soon, Danny Vaughn

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope everyone had a great and safe holiday season. Now it's back to the "real world" , eh? Not to mention back on the ole diet. I must say I indulged more than usual this year. There was just an endless supply of Guinness around. Of course, what did I expect, visiting the Guinness plant in Dublin? :-) Anyway, there are lots of things in the offing for me and the band this year and I hope to have a lot more updates to bring to you. I have been working on songs for the next Vaughn cd and hope to be in the studio in time for a fall release. There are still more to be written in order to make the album a great one, but the band and I will make sure that happens.

This month I am going into the studio to lend a small helping hand to NEXX, (weren't they awesome at the Firefest party??) who are making their new album in January and February. This will be one to watch for.
In the meantime, I'm posting some photos from our gig at JB's in Dudley. They were taken by a talented young photographer named Jessica Patel. She is the real deal and has taken shots of a lot of cool bands. If you want to see all of her work, get on over to: www.jessicapatel.co.uk

That's all for now, but I hope you all have a great 2006 and I hope to hear a lot more from you.

All the best, Danny Vaughn

LONDON AND BIRMINGHAM ADDED!

It is a very happy twist of fate, indeed, that has made it possible for us to add both London and Birmingham to the Vaughn tour. Not playing London would have been a real shame and I haven't had the pleasure of being on a Birmingham stage in quite a while. So please, if you're from the Birmingham area, come out in droves so that we can start making that a regular stop whenever we tour.

December 2nd will be at the Birmingham Barfly and I believe that myself and some of the fellas will also be guest djs during some point in the evening. You do like Lawrence Welk, don't ya?
The club info is:
Barfly, The Sanctuary, 78 Digbeth
Street, Birmingham, B5 6DY.

And on December the 3rd we will be back at our favorite London watering hole, The Underworld in Camden. I am hoping that there will be a couple of special guests to join us in London. I'll let you know as soon as they answer their damned phones! :-)

I'm also pleased to announce that the opening band for us in Birmingham and Dudley will be Dante Fox, a band that I have heard lots and lots of good things about, so I'm looking forward to seeing them.
Looks like I'll be spending another cold and rainy holiday season with you lot again. I just can't get enough, can I?
Hope to see everybody and their brother (sisters, mothers, dads, kids, cats, and ferrets are welcome too) out at the shows.

Roll on November!

FIREFEST 2 ADDITION

It’s with great pleasure that FIREFEST announce the addition of VAUGHN to
the bill for Saturday November 26th. Vaughn are no strangers to UK stages
having completed a very successful co headlining tour with Firehouse in
March 2004. Danny was keen to play and Firefest were keen to have him so it
was really that easy. Danny’s band, bassist Steve Mc Kenna (Ten), drums
Greg Morgan (Dare/Ten), guitarist Pat Heath (Passion Street/Brave new
World) Tony Marshall (Contagious) is the same band that toured in 2004 and
drew so many compliments from fans and critics alike. In keeping with
Danny’s idea of keeping it different , Vaughn will be plundering Danny’s
back catalogue for an all encompassing show consisting of classics from
Waysted, Blues for Daze, and even some numbers from Gary Hughes ‘Once and
Future King’ to which he contributed vocals on some tracks. This of course
in addition to the many classic Tyketto and Vaughn tracks makes this a set
list to die for. As usual you are requested to bring your best singing
voices …………….

A Message About Gigs, Acoustic Outcasts, And The Streets Of London.

It's been a while so please bear with me as I update the web site with information half of you knew a week before I did!

1. We are setting up a VAUGHN your for December. It will only be a couple of weeks and only a few select cities but I will be playing with the same bunch of British reprobates that were along for the ride last time. Steve McKenna, Greg Morgan, Pat Heath, and Tony Marshall have all been crazy enough to agree to give it another go working with me. I always want to make each tour a little different so this time, since I don't have anything brand new to promote, I thought that I would compile a longer set list than usual. While we will be playing several of the Tyketto and Vaughn classics that are a staple to my shows, I want to add in songs from other recordings that I've done that have never been done on stage before. Therefore, on this tour there will be a number of songs from WAYSTED-SAVE YOUR PRAYERS, FLESH & BLOOD, THE ONCE AND FUTURE KING, and, of course, FROM THE INSIDE. This will be a real challenge to the entire band as well as myself but I think it would be a real treat to perform and, I hope, to listen to. I can't do all of them, but I will take suggestions for songs submitted to this web site under advisement! We have 5 confirmed dates so far. They are:

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9- BELFAST, IRELAND. Sadly, The Empire was booked up but we will be at another venue that will be announced here in the next week or so.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10-ROTHERIM, UK-HERRINGTHORPE LEISURE CENTRE.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11- DUDLEY, UK-JB'S

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16- ATHENS, GREECE-VENUE TO BE ANNOUNCED

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17-THESSALONIKI, GREECE. "EARTH" (the same venue that Tyketto played)

There will be more dates coming. We are waiting on some clubs in Scotland, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Spain to respond. If you can, please make any calls to the clubs to request tickets or get info or to push them to have us play there. The success of this and any future tours is going to rest with our fans, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

2. ACOUSTIC OUTCASTS
I have recently become associated with a great crew of players that are calling themselves the Acoustic Outcasts. Their roster changes from time to time and rotates members, but the idea is to bring to you great, live, acoustic performances from players that you might not otherwise see in this style. They consist of Ron Keel (Keel, Ironhorse, Steeler), Charlie Wayne (Bulletboys, Hawk, Keel & Wayne), Terry Ilous (XYZ), Jk Northrup (King Kobra, XYZ) and Kelly Keeling (MSG, Blue Murder, Baton Rouge, George Lynch). This cast, plus others will be touring in various parts of the US from now until the year's end. Having met and played with several of the guys recently I have found that we all share one thing in common. We love to play and will go anywhere to do it. While I am not officially joining the tour yet because of some personal commitments, I will be joining them for one show in Nashville, TN on July the 28th at a country bar (they won't know what hit 'em) called
THE SUTLER. The address is:
2608 Franklin Pike
Nashville, TN, 37204
Phone number: 615-292-5254
Please come down early if you can make it. We are all going to be switching off both playing together and separately. It's going to be a blast and I hope to be announcing further dates with them a little bit later in the year.

3. LONDON.
My apologies to all of my friends and fans in London for my not having written sooner. I was as shaken up as anyone when I heard the news. You should know that, if you were in America right now, the Union Jack is posted in shops, on walls, everywhere in solidarity with our own flag. We feel your hurt and your anger, and we really do care. There is much love for all things British in America right now.
For myself, I had a funny thought occur to me. If I had one of these moronic bombers in front of me right now I would have to say this: "Are you really that stupid"? Look back in history. The Brits lived underground for years during the blitz. They couldn't be bombed out even when entire cities were leveled. Do you honestly think that blowing up some busses, however awful that is, will make them turn tail and run? You must be kidding. The British are the most stoic, indomitable people I have ever known and these terrorists don't have any weapons in their arsenals to stop that kind of grit.

To all my friends, to the families of the victims, I'm sending my prayers along with everyone else's. England has been my second home for many years now and I'm just as hurt and angry as I was on Sept. 11. We made it through that. We'll make it through this.

Blessings to all of you.

At the prompting of several friends I have put together a bunch of mostly unheard stuff that I’ve done over the years. I’ve decided to make them available here on the web site for free to any and all total fanatics out there (bless you!). I welcome anyone writing in about any or all of these songs and performances. It’s been a blast just unearthing some of them.

Thanks, and enjoy!       ==> RARITIES
